Plan your visit to the oldest continuously operated water-powered grist mill in the United States!

Visit Old Wye Mill, explore a technological time capsule, and purchase our stone-ground grain products and other locally-made goods.


Information for Visitors:

Old Wye Mill is open to the public from May through October. Grinding Days are the first and third Saturdays of every month. To purchase grain products when the Mill is closed, please call (410) 827-3850.

Old Wye Mill is wheelchair accessible on its lower level. A video of the Mill is installed on the lower level so that people with limited mobility can view the upper floor. The upper floor exhibit panels are accessible on the Old Wye Mill website. Hands-on items also enable vision-impaired individuals to participate fully.

For Visiting Families:

If you’re visiting with children, borrow one of our new Family Discovery Backpacks free of charge at the Mill Shop. As you explore the Mill, engage your kids with the hands-on objects, art supplies, and activity sheets to add educational value and spark interaction. Choose between two age-appropriate Backpacks: pre-K to third grade or fourth to sixth grade, each designed specifically for young visitors and their adults.
