Old Wye Mill can help you get into the holiday spirt with our Christmas Shop! On sale will be a variety of Mill items, including stone ground flours (wheat, einkorn, rye, barley), cornmeal, grits, as well as pottery, Christmas tree ornaments and fresh baked goods. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to see local history while you shop!
Opening Day Celebration

Activities include:
Flour Grinding Demonstrations.
Colonial cooking demonstration by the Maryland 1st Regiment Reenactment group, by Karen House.
Other Maryland 1st Regiment reenactors will be showing children of all ages Colonial Period Games for children. You will be invited to test your skill at one of the games.
Bake Sale.
Jam Taste Testing - Pumpkin Pecan Butter Jam, Triple Berry Jam, and Christmas Jam.

Book Signing by Timothy Young author of our new book (2024) entitled “MAC AND THE MILLSTONE OF TIME”. Timothy has written 15 children’s books some of which are in school libraries.
Author of “Chesapeake Wind and Tide” and “Chesapeake People”, Don Parks, who will be joining us to talk about his books.
Flour, honey, jam, maple syrup, pottery and other gifts will be available to purchase.
Delicious homemade baked goods are offered for sale, along with other holiday gifts and goodies, at the annual Old Wye Mill Christmas Shoppe.
